That confusion can be the biggest clue that you were drunk.

Of course, having nearly complete recall of everything that happened, including remembering being told by multiple people that you are drunk, and ending up on the floor laughing at them (actually ROFL), telling them that you aren’t drunk and they don’t know what they are talking about, can be another clue.
