115gr 9mm IMI ammo

The other day I was shooting at the range and was trying various types of ammunition to see what feeds reliably in my P80 G17. I stumbled across some 115 grain IMI HPs and could not get them to feed reliably. I feel as if they were to light of loads to cycle. Have any of you out noticed this or have suggestions for reliable personal defense loads? Is it better to shoot heavy bullets or light?

I use 115 gr gold dots in my glocks for carry ammo. Always go boom and feed. Also runs well in my diamondback DB9.

Some guns are pretty picky
I have a bunch of diffrent rounds and grains to choose from
One of my 1911’s only likes German m.e.n. 147 grain but it’s great ammo as well
