Now you need to apply your own roll marks
like serial# 2a1776
and, made in America by knowhow
I dunno…I might be tempted to roll with something like “Casper Commander” 2A1776FU
Have you been able to fire it yet?
Yes, it’s in my top three for nicest shooting 1911 that I’ve ever shot.
That’s very cool!
Not only rewarding to build it yourself, but especially rewarding when it ends up being that good.
My hat’s off to you, I wish I had the time and extra money to be able to do something like that…maybe someday
I probably should have mentioned this in the original post, but this one isn’t my work… This build is the work of my 80-something-year-old father. He likes to, “keep his hand in it,” by doing work like this. I swear he does stuff like this just to irritate me. The pictures that I took don’t do the build any justice. He threw in a lot of little tricks into the build that can’t be seen on the outside, like ramped rails that are loose out of battery, but tighten up like a bank vault when it goes into full lock up. It is a work of art if you could see it in person.
Very nice! Like the pachmeyrs.
