A First Look At The New Extar EP45 Pistol

This thing is a freaking ton of fun. For those heavy on the 1911s in 45 ACP, would probably make a neat range toy if nothing else.

I have no clue why the link is not adding the video. Maybe something @Robert should look into.:joy:

i feel ya, sorta the same way with me growing up, always lots of guns around but they did all have a purpose. same with cars, trucks, clothes, furniture and just about everything else. i can remember school clothes shopping at the Goodwill up until I was in high school. since growing up and steadily getting access to more income, i pretty much buy pretty things, fun things and such when i want them (not at the cost of savings, bills, food, etc). that said, i always try to rationalize my purchases with the question “if i get tired of this OR if i need some money, am i buying something that can be resold and get most if not all or more back?” approaching things from that perspective allows you to pick up cool things, enjoy them, have fun, then flip em later if you need or want.

and i gotta say, i have bought many things over the years that some might call impractical, just to flip the stuff years later for a decent or even substantial profit. all just perspective really.

I have reached the point that I don’t sell em. But I don’t by any more unless it is one that that is worth passing on either. So I guess because I find them all fun, that’s what really counts, that they are enjoyed in some way.

i used to now sell anything either, up until about two years ago, i had only sold/traded maybe 5- my entire life. i think i have sold/traded probably 50-60 since that time. it is mostly doubles, stuff that doesn’t fit a particular collection, odd calibers, that sort of thing. all of mine will not get passed down, i have entirely too many for that and part of the original purpose of having them was sorta of a life insurance addition. my kids, inlaw kids, grands all get 5 each of their choosing, which are spoken for, listed and do change from time to time… rest are slated to go to one of several gun shops to be sold once i am gone and the money go to the my wife or estate.
