Excellent Mosin!!!
I have used a nitric acid solution diluted to about 20% to brown items as well in a similar way.
For that brown rusting look.
I always have baking soda washed afterwords to kill the acid even when doing cold blueing.
Never knew about the Hydrogen Peroxide though.
Nice touch!!
