Anybody have a S&W 22 compact

Looks like I’m going to be sending my daughter off to college with my Walther P22. She likes it and shoots it well. The Chief of Police at UAH said students can store their guns at the police station and check them out to go hunting or to the range. Nice policy. Anyway, I need a replacement and really like the feel and especially the sights on the M&P 22 compact. The on line reviews look good, but I wanted to ask here to see if anyone has any first hand experience with one. Any yeas or nays appreciated.

Yeah really, :dart: Oh wait let me go get my self defense weapon… it should be in a nice gun purse for the young lady.

She won’t be able to carry for a while now, she turns 18 in Sept. She carries a good knife and I will send her off with a Freeze+P spray. Nasty stuff. Just takes a little puff and whoever is in the way of it is in serious pain and blinded.
As for not getting another Walther, I don’t want to be confined to one ammo. It only cycles Thunderbolt consistently. The M&P 22 compact seems to cycle everything well according to the reviews. There are a couple of others with larger capacity but don’t have the thingy to slide down for loading the mags. I don’t want that.

I remember when I was in the Police Academy we had to get certified on Pepper spray… which meant experiencing it first hand . Now when a guy sprays you from 2 ft straight in the face it will do a royal number on you. The only way to ease the suffering after washing your eyes and face with dawn dishwashing soap was to immerse you head in a bucket of water . He (captian somethinorruther) really got me good my eyes was swelled shut for an hour before I could see … took a couple hours before I could open them all the way. I have allergies so…yeah. anywho I always thought peppers was really hot before that… After that I can eat the heck outta some peppers. I have had Ghost, Carolina Reapers, you name it… All except … my Father in Law had these tiny little chillis of some type in his Garden and they looked delicious I says hey what type are these . Father in law says I dont know I was give those by your sister in law and she says the place didnt know what they was. Well, me being an idiot plucked one and bit the end off of it . :roll_eyes: Oh My Lordy it lite me UP . Almost instant hiccups and the burn was intense. Needless to say he laughed and I was embarrassed and warned the wife not to take any peppers from her Dad.

I dont know what it is but if I get halepenos from Subway my stomach goes haywire.
If I eat pickled halepenos at home they dont bother me.

I’d LMAO when the PD would give the “binanca blast” to the perps. We’d come and wash them down when they were on pepper spray FIRE.
To watch the ghetto bad asses cry like the little bitches they are was a side benefit to the job.
Right up there withthe grill smashing face plant while running from PD with the sagging n-pants for a HUGE ROFLMAO

@pop,
This little S&W 2213 is one of my wife’s favorites. Outside of the grips it’s all metal…SS and Alum. Has been extremely reliable, and never failed to feed or go pop with CCI MiniMags. Don’t know how long they have been out of production, but still see them online. Nice ones have gone up significantly. She calls it her little sister, and it resides next to her Big sister, a 4” model 66.

Of course, if you happen to have a professionally trained saber tooth Yorkshire terrier attack dog like ‘Bear’ here. Well then EDCs, pepper spray, mace, CC, become mute points…lol.
