AR or AK

Akm is far superior to stoners design
Simplicity in itself
Stoners rifle was built to be space age at the time and was built with modern materials that at the time were cutting edge
Ak was built to arms huge population of peasants
And was built to with stand extremely harsh conditions
It wasn’t built to look fancy and space age
It was built to function and function in extreme conditions

Looks like you’re a reliability pessimist (AK), but a long range optimist! (Scope):wink:

I build ar rifles all day long but don’t own one
I can’t bring myself to do it
That being said I am a ak guy always have been always will be

Stoner’s design was completely modular, meaning one gun could be configured as a rifle, carbine, or LMG. The AKM is only an AKM. I see it as different designs, kind of comparing apples to oranges.

Interesting read.

"I’m not going to hold back here. Which is better in a fight, an AK-47 or an AR-15?

Easy one, AR, that’s not even close. That 7.62x39 is a devastating round. It’s going to go right through a lot of stuff — it’s really freaking bad ass. But ergonomically, the AK-47 is just not sound — that’s a conscript army freaking gun. To me the AR is just a more professional platform, and there’s a lot more you can do with it. And when it comes to accuracy … if you have a good barrel and good ammo, you can group at 500 with that thing easy."

IOT trigger some Kalash lovers, here are InRange TV’s mudtests.

Modern AR15: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAneTFiz5WU works flawlessly
Old School M16 Clone: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyXndCxn9K4 works flawlessly
AK47/m: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DX73uXs3xGU failure to feed after first round
AK74: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgP6Fea8zM8 failure to return to battery after first round

TLDW: AR reliability>AK reliability.

Next, you’ll be saying your Glock is more reliable than my Tokarev. Nyet! I’m not having any of it. My rifle AND my pistol are fine.

They can keep there LEGO stoner Rifles
I just get paid to fix them when they break and I get to giggle
It’s almost funny to watch a grown man cry when you tell him his 2k dollar ar is junk because he didn’t take care of it properly and tries to abuse it
I get lots of groups of them come in after they go to a carbine or active class

So, you are insinuating an AK-47 is a better gun than AR-15? That’s funny

Didn’t look like insinuating to me.
