Thank you Brian, these can be mutually beneficial and my goal is to create a network, get this reaping rewards, I can’t have people reviewing things they are sour on but we need to walk before we run
AS long as I’m allowed to produce unbiased content without the nudge to say “OMG best product ever” kind of affiliate deal, I’ll review whatever I can get my hands on. Do they want this content exclusive to Full30 or would they want it on as many as possible?
I’ve been using the oLight brand for about 10 years and have always been satisfied with them, extremely bright and out shines the competition. I have the light & laser model also and it works great and holds a zero well. I recommend.
i am a Sreamlight guy. i don’t see any big issues with Olight, it is just that i know for a fact that not everyone who gets hands on them doesn’t love them as much as the let on. when the opportunity is there to get free stuff and make money, it is hard not to shill just a little bit. if Olight would give away less of them they might could bring the price down a bit and be a better overall value…their pricing is weird unless they are on sale, something i hated about Radio Shack in the later days, stupid regular prices, GREAT sales prices. i have seen many Streamlights, particularly the AAA models that are cheaper with more lumens than Olight, so why mess with them. There is my two cents.
I have my Olight on my edc. I have a stand for my handgun next to my bed, I connected the Olight charger cable to the stand. I pick it up and the magnet pops off with the light all charged up. Very bright and can be turned on and off and even pushing the tab in half way the light will turn off when you let go of the switch.
Well like @CloverTac said they have interesting business practices. They have stormed the reviewers like the scamdemic we have all had to deal with lately. People who are healthy should not be in quarantine, like a flashlight company that is worth its salt shouldn’t have to dump free products out at the rate they do.
You can call me biased that’s fine, everyone has an opinion.
There are tens of hundreds of flashlights made in china, some good and some not so good. At olights fluctuations in price I still see NO advantage in an olight product over a Streamlight, or Nitecore, both of which are made in china. Now at present I still have heard the word olight still more than the word “ “coronavirus” chinavirus.
I understand that I’m in the minority with my opinion so let me extend an olive branch here, I have used the same stream light for over two decades.
Solid price and solid reliability. If olight had better business practices, had a better product with a price that could actually complete. I would be more than happy to try one out. As it sits currently I’m not interested in them just like cheaper than dirt.
I have a lot of flashlights, well, had. At one point I bet I had over a dozen sitting on the shelf that were all sent in for reviews. Most China lights from Amazon. I sold them all off on the cheep and refused to get any more in for review. I still have a couple, like a TAClight. It’s acting up which is annoying. I’ve got batteries that won’t hold a charge, and chargers that won’t charge batteries. Of all my firearms, only one has a light on it, that’s not including the LumaShark AR which has two built into the handguard. That’s the Olight Valkyrie mini on my EDC. I’ve never had a problem with it, not one. From my experience, the Olight I have is worth the price. I do agree they are flooding the market. But that’s how you get the name out there.
That’s awesome, and I’m sure that many other people have had the same experiences you have had with it.
I do however do have a question: did you buy it? Or was it sent to you?
Thank you for sharing honestly. Have you ever had an issue with a streamlight?
Honestly I think we need more people talking about this. Half the time on earth it’s dark out. It would be nice to have every one “as long as they are honest” to give feedback of all flashlights. I consider this to be somewhat of an important topic.
