Build project for the cold winters months

I currently have two projects in the work right now waiting on parts but I’m curious what everyone else is planning to do for this nice cold whenever we are facing right now.

I understand the 80% building project thing is taking off here which is nice and if you want to show your project post it below

Once I am ready I will be designing a rifle from scratch.

It will not be modern, or all that useful, but the thing has been stuck in my mind for such a long time that I simply need to get it out.

No winter build projects for me. Winter is my reloading season. I utilize this time to load up for my normal shooting activities in summer.

My next project is a suppressed 300 blackout. Got my atf form 1 submitted for the suppressor build and most of the rifle parts. I hope Santa brings the bullet mold.

I got a 1.75"x10" tube. I’m just waiting on the ATF to give me my cover letter. It’s like they don’t know who manufacturer is MACustom Arms.

I hate all of you. Having a tiny Tee Pee is a disability. Y’all go to the special Olympics and make fun of the athletes there?

Which events are you in, Chief Special Teepee? We’re cheering for you

I would have to say it turned out pretty well. Kerosene one out in this cleanup project but my God does it stink and I didn’t realize that this cosmoline on the kit was so thick and pervasive. The kerosene started out clear and by Midway it was dark brown. I had to do a second batch and clean again

LOL. Yes it does stink. Don’t spill it on a bare concrete floor, because it will soak in and stink for a long time. I speak from personal experience.

You could try adding a cup of acetone to the mix. It may give the solvent properties an extra kick.
