Carrington Cometh

Few events are as certain as a Civilization Ending EMP from an enemy or nature, yet the greatest most advanced civlization (as far as we know) to grace this planet has, and still does nothing to prepare…

Oh I hope so

I always heard that for instance the ECM of your vehicle should be in a faraday encased type thing or have a EMP protection device attached … or a buried ECM as a back up to reinstall after the other gets fried.

Helps while you have both fuel and some wear to go

Yeah the woods would be ab option. City folk would be hard pressed to cope.

Ecm might be in a Faraday cage. But did you also put all the sensors the ecm talks to in a cage?

If your ride is newer than 1991, its toast. Not just the ECM, how about the distributor, coils packs, and alternator. Door servos, temp controls,
and a lot more.

From 1965-1991 some can be saved. 1965-1972 you can revert back to points. I have a coil and points distributor, how about you.
Newer than 1972-1991 you need is a HEI distributor & alternator (which I have two each in the faraday cage.
1964 and older you are good to go.

Motorcycles pre 1972 are good to go. My 2020 will be a paper weight.

Thats why I have a 78 GMC, Fords and others have more parts to be changed out. All I need is two.
