My brother has a lever action Rossi carbine in 44mag (I think). A screw broke in the lever mechanism that made it difficult to cycle the action. It was hell finding the screw. I finally found one from a guy who sold parts but didn’t list them.
The potential of limited parts availability will be the one thing that will keep me from buy Rossi.

Thats crazy you would think it would be easy to find… maybe at a gunsmith. In case it happens again?

I just bought a Rossi in 45Colt a while back. It came w/a parts list and where to order them from. Bet your brother doesn’t keep gun box’s and instruction books.

He bought his in the 90s. He and I looked everywhere online, including Rossi’s website. I took it to a local gunsmith who couldn’t find parts either.

Wow , maybe they have stepped up their game somewhat since the 90’s

Some kept their civil war revolvers the rest of their days.
I see no advantage. I carry paper cartridges.

Naw, when SHTF happens its the ACP under the arm, 1860 Army on the left side cross draw, and a 45 Colt low on the hip and tied down.

Might even have a box of cheroots stashed about.
