Sounds like Blackwater/Academi is/has phased out most civilian classes though.

Theres also Paul Howe’s CSAT facility in Texas http://combatshootingandtactics.com/

Or Kyle Lamb of VTAC

https://www.vikingtactics.com/

Both probably have resumès that would impress the grim reaper. They are both former Delta guys that were part of the Battle of Black Sea/Black hawk down. There was even a guy playing as Howe in the movie.

If I was going to a course tomorrow and had to pick it would be Max Velocity or Pat McNamara
https://www.tmacsinc.com/, by far.

Agreed , classes are training and competition is practice , imo. Some people might have different views on this though.

So very true but an unfortunate side effect courtesy of safety factors and the fear of a lawsuit. I will say that the PRS DMR gas gun series does a good job of skill building while minimizing the build-up of bad habits.

In the end though focused instruction from good AND properly qualified trainers is a must IMO.

Welcome back to the Full30 Forum.

I have heard Gunsite is good.

first you have to decide what training you want.
Is it to compete
is it for work
or just for defense

June 7 and 8 I’ll be in West Virginia at Practical Firearms Training. Pat Goodale is the owner and lead instructor. The classes are Defensive Handgun III and Vehicle Based Incidents. If anyone is interested, the classes aren’t full, yet.
