Pennsylvania
Shall issue state. The permit is for five years and the fee is $20. They are given 45 days to complete a background check but from my experience it only takes about a 1/2 hour, depending on how busy they are at the time.

That is how long all background checks should take (that shouldn’t exist anyway), including NFA.
