Ideally it would be a pinned 14.5" and a mid length gas system.

I have a 14.5 inch piston drive LWRC that’s pinned. I really do like it. The mid range gas system is an excellent choice in my option and I lean my clients in that direction when I can.

Hey Guys, that is an old thread… i know. But here in germany people are often talking about the Savage MSR 15 Recon. I had one in my hands a few month ago and i quite liked it, especially for the money. Sadly haven’t shot it so far. Many people say it is the rifle with the most bang for the buck right now, qualitywise. What is your oppinion on that? Of course it cant compete with the high tier manufacturers, but how is it compared to some other mid tier rifles?
