Did pelosi really just say this?

One would think it would be the last decision that individual made! I could see pitchforks torches and some other choice steel/poloymer objects at the gates immediately!

I truly feel that it is time for a show of force … Like 2 or 3 million gun owners showing up at congress and telling them hell no and if you dont listen we will be back and wont be as nice.

Economics is not mentioned, I think all the money generated by the entire firearms business, including handguns, and ammunition would give the corrupt Democrats a moment of pause, then they will try to count all firearms already in the hands of dedicated patriots. Also, the Constitution is built on the identity as a country and all countries are very interested in protected borders. Only if you are Obama and his lackies at DOJ, would one try to carry firearms into Mexico, like Fast and Furious

You shouldn’t try and fit logic, reason and common sense in politics IMO

You are correct, I am a hopeless glass is half full kind of guy. I am sorry for the slip-up.

Well they have never really been hit with something this big. I agree with what you are saying though.

I do think a financial show of force could help. As I’ve said in the past, if every gun owner were to go to their bank and withdraw all their money on the same day, don’t you think it would get attention. Talk about your National Emergency. The Banks would be shut down immediately. Then, we got their attention and the attention of Wall Street and the rest of the world.

Ever play chess? You’ll sacrifice EVERY piece on the board to get a Checkmate,

In other words, power is more valuable than money, so money, especially fiat, is not a road block for
those in power, seeking more power.

Maybe so, but those that are truly in power are the ones that control the money.

I really don’t think they want that.

Pelosi is an idiot. Thankfully declaring an emergency on guns wouldn’t do anything for her. All it’s doing for Trump is allowing him to re-allocate funds. Basically it frees up some money for him to use as he sees fit. It doesn’t allow him to change the laws governing border protection, etc. So if a democrat declared an emergency on guns, they would have access to some money to do…what? Run ad campaigns? Pay gun manufacturers to stop producing? Or make a voluntary buy back from the public? Either way it wouldn’t allow them to change the gun laws. Doesn’t mean they won’t try though. SMH.

Wrong, protecting our border IS a constitutional right

Article 4 - The States
Section 4 - Republican Government

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

Yep. Saw this coming and it has been a discussion at work. Using a “National Emergency” for failed policy is a bad, bad idea.

And it could get even worse than gun confiscation.

Social inequality (If Saunders gets elected It’s a national emergency that there is a 200x difference in wealth between the rich and the poor - savings confiscation).

Then land confiscation

Then we are no longer a republic but a socialist nation.

I guess my point is that while it is the responsibility of the government (Legislative branch) it is not a “Right of the people.”
The Legislative branch has for sure failed to perform its duty for years and ought to be replaced.
But this Executive Action will get bogged down in court. And conceivably overridden in the Supreme Court.
A similar action to take firearms from the people (I hope) would be even more likely to be overturned based on an enumerated Right of the People.

Already seeing Sheriffs in anti gun states refusing to enforce such legislation. How do you think that’s going to go down in a red state? Good luck with that. Too many of us are simply not willing to accept modern day slavery and the abolition of our constitution.

@Greenwell_Armory

Thanks for sharing this link.

Actually, that is exactly the response I expected out of Pelosi. We should all be careful what we wish for!

Or, perhaps, those truly in power are those that control the money directly, or control the people that control the money.

How many senior executives of banks vote democratic? More than I can believe would, logically, at least! The only explanation I have for it is that the bankers are more afraid of the democrats than of the republicans.
