Finally got my .308 to the range and sighted in

I finally got my AR-10 build to the range. I really like the big bore and glad I went with the Aero Precision and Ballistic Advantage parts on it. I have to say it was a tack driver for sure. I was using HEX Mags which I am not too thrilled with. Had some issues with feeding and I think that the pressure from the springs in the magazines are too much, the Mag Pul ones seem to work much better than the HEX Mags. I know that if I miss my target, Then it is definitely my fault and not the guns. I am ready for Moose, Elk, and Pig.

Not all 308s like all magazines. If it likes the Magpul mags, stick with those.

Nice looking rifle.

Haven’t fired the Magpul yet, I’ll try that in a few weeks. But I can get it in the msgwell fully loaded while the hexmags I had to force in.

I had been looking for a new 308 rifle for awhile and finally settled on a Bergara Ridge bolt gun, I put a Vortex 4x16 Diamondback Tactical scope on it, seems ok, but I will probably upgrade it later. I got it to the range and with some handloads I had it shot right at 1 inch which is ok for now. I will do some specific loads for it as time permits. I believe it will shoot much better. It liked 168’s the best, the Nosler 165 Ballistic Tips I had loaded previously it did not like. I hope it will like 150 SST and I will try some 180’s also.
