Are ye bout to engage in fisticuffs?
A gun duel, we will meet in the midwest. No body armor and no reflecting the sun off your head, lonewolf.
Im sure, that’s why they look new
LOL, this might go on for days.
Describes all modern 1911s
…
Typical 1911 fan boy
How come you didn’t include a real handgun in yer poll?
My real handgun is my pole
Probably same color as a glock too.
I am black from the waist down ,
Quit jerking off
I have both, and I voted for the 1911.
I shoot the Glock slightly better, but I think it’s because I’ve had more practice with it. My Glock also functioned really well even after it got a bit wet and muddy. It also never jammed on me when I used some slightly muddy mags. The grip feels good in my hands, but the trigger guard gives me Glock knuckle issues, though.
Not sure if it’s the history and nostalgia of 1911’s, but for me they just seem to have a certain presence, style and character that Glocks and other polymer/plastic guns lack. They also look way cooler and sleeker, but that’s just my opinion.
Granted, my 1911 certainly holds less rounds than my Glock. And I haven’t had a chance to test it out in wet and muddy conditions. But if 1911’s somehow managed to serve their purpose during first landings in the Pacific island campaigns of WWII, in the extreme cold and snow in the Battle of the Chosin Reservoir and in the hot and steamy jungles of Vietnam, then I think their decades of service under battle-proven conditions speaks volumes about their durability.
I’m sure Glocks can easily handle the same battle conditions and more, but I still prefer my 1911 regardless just because.
