Gun Rights Are Women's Rights

Gun Rights Are Women’s Rights

Colorado – -(AmmoLand.com)- Why do the same politicians who claim to support women’s rights want to take away a woman’s right to defend herself with a firearm?

Saturday, January 19th, 10am, is the nationwide WomXn’s March (the X is apparently to be MORE inclusive, which we assume means even us too!). Well, gun rights ARE women’s rights – and we’re going to join the Denver march to let them know just that! Anyone is welcome to join us under our banner…we’re non-partisan – and not sexist!

Please note: It is illegal to open carry in Denver, and this is not an open carry event. Signs, banners and flags are encouraged! Keep your signs directly related to gun rights. Those who want to restrict gun rights DO NOT SPEAK FOR US and we’ll be there to let them know!

We will be meeting in the park just west of Denver Capitol building. You will spot the main organizers by their bright teal beanies with AR-15s on them, along with pins that say “GUN RIGHTS ARE WOMEN’S RIGHTS”. From there, depending on the size of the crowd, we will move across to the street to march in the event as a group with our message being prominently displayed with signs and banners. We will have extra hats and pins!

Parking is available in nearby lots as well as on side streets. If you are coming from the Denver area, LYFT is offering 20% off with code WOMXNSMARCH19. That’s for the other march, but don’t hesitate to use it!

Please do bring:

– Enthusiasm
– Signs, lots of signs! Focus on the Second Amendment and how many gun control laws leave women as victims.
– American, historical, and patriotic flags
– Banners and signs supporting gun rights and the 2nd Amendment.

Please do not bring:

– Confederate, Anarchy, Trump, or other political propaganda flags. ( nothing against our President )
– Off topic signs or banners, or anything advocating or attacking a particular political party or ideology beyond the Second Amendment

This is a single focus/issue event with participants from various political parties and with differing ideological beliefs. Please be respectful and courteous of your fellow Second Amendment supporters.

Feel free to share this invitation with your friends, family and other interested parties. It’s time to fight back and make our voices heard. We hope to see you there!

Women had the right to keep and bear arms before they had the right to vote. Think about that. Now ask, why are some women fighting to remove that right.

Women are largely dismissed from the firearms conversation. How are they raised? Not just parent’s views. They may have been socialized from birth to be shortchanged in the thinking and teaching behaviors that tends to disassociate women from protecting themselves and others. I believe that is changing but ever so slowly.

@Tactical_Reviews Great point. I will certainly mention that to my progressive, anti-gun, feminist coworker. Perhaps that perspective will give her something new to ponder…or not. LOL

I’m female, for the record…

As a “recovered” libturd, hippie, socialist, feminist, left-wing crazy passionate dem who fell for the media/social BS…I want to stand up and cheer :grinning:at your commentary @Tactical_Reviews! Factual education and research “cured” me and now I have my CWP and am a proud CFO of a gun business!

My female (dem) co-worker was quite unhappy with me this week when I said the majority of the people in my neighborhood are criminals with illegal weapons and I’m glad I have a legal weapon and training in case I ever need to defend myself. She told me to move and nix my guns. I told her to pay for my new house and we could continue this conversation. That (temporarily) shut her down and she said I’d “changed” and she was sad. :face_with_raised_eyebrow: She said there are too many guns in this world.

Why would anyone not want to be able to protect themselves and their family, regardless of where they live? What stops a bad guy with a gun? A good guy with a gun! HELLO!

I don’t understand how a feminist (or anyone, really) would want to give their guns up. A gun is empowering. …an equalizer, if you will.

simple - they have been lead to believe it is some one else job. I am fairly cosmopolitan and it has to do more with creature comfort. I remember a time when dinner was still alive in the morning and still can’t stand the smell of hot, wet feathers. Gone are the days when a mother would protect their off spring from an external threat while the father was off gathering something to eat. Now because of the comfort of society that exception has been passed to the social network and government.

I’m glad you are now on the right side. My wife also carries and is now pro-gun. Before we met that wasn’t the case.

Its important to have pro-gun women, because in most/many cases they have the most influence on our children’s day to day lives. Raising kid to be pro rights is crucial to the continuation of our freedoms.

The way I look at it is the Bill of Rights protects all of us from government. The poor, the rich, the strongest and the weakest among us. I don’t see why gender, race etc, are used to create divides in rights. All I care about is this: You are either Pro 2a and Bill of Rights or you aren’t. You are with us or you are against us. It never made sense to me why women would give up their god given rights just for the sake of being feminist, or whatever. A true independent woman would not want to concede her rights to government. Some of these so called feminists run a very circular argument. (and don’t even get me started on these soy boy men too…but this thread is more about women, so I digress…lol)

Don’t get me wrong. I am glad that so many more women are getting into guns, and gun rights. But at the end of the day, I could care less what someone’s gender is, or what color they are. I just want them to stand for freedom and liberty.

Thanks for the interesting post.

Good point. I think they are trying to win certain battles, even if winning their battle, makes them lose the war.

Another way to word it: Cutting off their noses to spite their face.

Exactly. Don’t take my rights away…except the ones that I tell you to in my devoutly independent feminine power…or some crazy shit like that!

I’m getting dizzy

Yes you pretty much summed it up there. :+1:

Just remind them that the SCOTUS has ruled that police have no duty to protect you they just clean up the mess after the fact. You are the only one that can protect yourself.
