Hello, my name is John and . . . I've been a firearm user for five decades

@Robert

Not sure what the difference is. The private boards - do you know the people on them personally? Have they gone thru background checks? There’s just no way to know for sure, otherwise (or perhaps, regardless). And, this is not just about “prying eyes” - it is really about people that might do us harm in some way. Really hard to know that, I would imagine. Of course, we all hope there are no such people on any gun forum, but KNOWING is the hard part. I can tell you I darn sure don’t want any harm to come to anyone here, but I can’t vouch for anyone else.

Most of us have posted a few pictures of guns here but no physical address to tie them to . And I think Robert has done a good job of weeding out the people that just dont seem right .

That’s ok John, take care to be the best man you can be yourself, that’s all we ask and what we appreciate about you too :hugs:

Must account for our small numbers :shushing_face:
Actually I tend to think just allowing religion to be discussed helps, like sunlight to vampires :grin:

Welcome John from Louisiana. Many years ago I started taking a look at .22 LRs…my wife had tried a number of 22 pocket pistols, and none seem very reliable. With every brand of 22 LR I tried I had at least one failure to go pop per 50 rounds, most more than one per 50. Including Winchester, REM, Federal, PMC, etc. Only one brand I tried never failed to go pop, and that was CCI…s, l, and lr. And I have never had a failure to feed with CCI’s copper dipped/coated Mini mags, with any of my semi autos. Very few of my 22s have ever shot great groups with CCI loads, but they are almost all I buy. I also like their primers when it comes to reloading…just my two cents worth.

Really like CCI 22 and primers too. I have been down on Winchester ammo for a few years now. The Super X has been ok though, Federal auto match has also been surprisingly good. Been thinking of sorting 22 somehow to get some more consistency.

CCI feeds my Browning T-Bolt and is very accurate in it plus they always fire.

I shoot Fed’ Auto Match in the Charger SBR and KelTec CP33, and I can’t remember a bad primer in the many thousands of rounds fired. The Charger is a tackdriver with Fed Champion. If I could figure out a good way to give the SBR holding qualities I’d shoot it long range, it’s that accurate. But it’s just not set up for long range and I can’t think of a way to get it done. But wouldn’t that be a hoot, to shoot a 9" barrel out to a few hundred yards!
