I think we can agree Soros is evil, he raised his two sons to be evil, and his use of the billions he acquired by destroying national economies is likewise evil. I see no redeeming value in him and I’m certain he will go down into Sheol unlamented!

My dad had an uncle by marrage that "worked"for the water department in Albany New York that told him that the state was ran by three groups . Unions ,demicraps and the mob . And they were all one and the same.

I had to look that one up
Its a great photo and I encourage it, but it misses the mark, we can all learn defense and arm up, when the economy collapses we can better kill one another trying to survive, stealing food from the lessor prepared, population control at its finest, a total chaos
Once were all fed up, mourning and starving, a new leader can come in and convince us to exchange our remaining freedoms for food and security

Hamas takes prisoners because they know Israel will trade many terrorists to save one of their own.
I’m not sure what to think. On one hand, I don’t want to let any terrorists free. On the other hand, should Israel remove all incentive for Hamas to preserve any prisoners, and make attacks deadlier?
There is a Jewish law that a hostage is not to be redeemed for more than he is worth, lest criminals be enticed to gather more hostages. A famous case of this was the Maharam of Rothenburg, who was arrested in 1286 when he attempted to make a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. The authorities imposed an exorbitant ransom to release him, but the Maharam (citing this law about limits on ransoms in the Talmud) forbade anyone to pay it. He spent the rest of his life in captivity and his body was ransomed years later.

Prisoner exchanges have been a dirty feature of nearly every war in recent history. They certainly were around during WWII. Even the Romans and the ancient Chinese practiced a form of it.

At the same time, redeeming a captive is a huge mitzvah, and there are stories about righteous people who sacrificed huge sums to redeem inn- and tavern-keepers who were imprisoned (often with their families) by the local Polish landlords for being behind on their rent. When the rents were paid, the landlords usually released them.

the operative word is pursuit, so yes, each person decides for themselves what this dream is, but isn’t the best pursuit to realize that a dream is not reality?
