Now im not a 1911 guy but Jeff Cooper was a cool dude.
Man look at that weaver stance
Jeff Cooper was awesome!
And is required reading for a few training course.
Thank you for putting up his videos!
Looks like I gotta watch his stuff. Looks right up my alley.
It is! All about mindset.
IIRC he wrote the back page in one of the monthly gun periodicals.
Was great stuff
Wish I saved some.
Checkout John Farnham too. He is an old gritty BTDT type like Cooper and Clint Smith.
If I could go to only one training class, Thunder Ranch with Clint instructing it would be what I would choose.
Clint Smith’s youtube videos are an accurate representation of him as an instructor. That’s not just for the videos. Good stuff , very practical.
You should checkout John Farnham’s youtube channel too. He is of that era before 5.11 tactical pants and fancy shooting gear.
Thank God.
Another great book similar to Copper’s material. Bill Jordan was a veteren. He served in WW2 or Korea (I forget) in the Marine corps. He was also A trick shooter and a border patrol cop back when the border was like the wild wild west.
Very good read. There are some stories , tips on shooting DA revolvers and some stuff on mindset. Well worth the money, imo.

Bump…
In a 150 years when our descendants read of the last days of Armed America Jeff Copper will be a name remembered.
