M&P 9mm gunsmiths and DIY gunsmiths?

Do any M&P gunsmiths frequent these forums?

For a striker-fired polymer-framed pistol, I find that I like them and would like to consider futzing around with them beyond installing the near-necessary Apex trigger kit.

I took the armorer’s course shortly after they came out. I still have the book and tools somewhere.

I have several and work on them regularly
Do you have a question. ?

Cool!

Do you know the dimensions for the front and rear sight dovetails for the C.O.R.E. models? I have a Pro 9L C.O.R.E. and would like to mill some fillers to use when I have an RDS mounted.

I’m not sure of the actual dimensions I’ve vende actually measured them
There are schematics out there for them
I’m not sure we have one here at the shop but I will look around today and see if we have them

I would have expected there to be. But I have yet to hit the Google jackpot on that search.

There is a spring and round metal disk UNDER the rear sight.

Yes. Unless you have a C.O.R.E. model, in which case it’s under the optic cover plate and covered by a tear-shaped piece of metal with a mounting screw.

@BobRock as a thought, can’t you measure the sights you take off?

I’d be nervous I won’t get the angles right.

Does someone here know the slope angle of M&P rear cocking serrations?

I’d like to mill off the waves.
