Guess what breed it is. Nu
French Brittany . Sire and mother both direct inports from France about as pure a blood line as I could find in the states. Natural pointers and retrievers I can use her on upland birds and waterfowl and she will work within 35 yards of the gun so I don’t have to hunt for her.
Almost went with Brittany. Wouldn’t have got the French part
The dark nose and eyes are a sign of the French Brittany. Also they have a softer fur and minimal sheading. The American brittany has been crossed with the English setter to make them range farther.
They’re better than we deserve.
My Airedale is 3-1/2 and just out of puppyhood!
We also have a lab mix that weighs 70 pounds that thinks he is too
