Thanks for shooting it from a rest. I can’t tell you how much it burns me up when writers, mostly where I see this, inject themselves into the shooting equation. I couldn’t give a rats patoot how they can shoot. If it’s a gun review I want to know how the gun shoots. One writer in particular will do that and then write about how his aging eyes were a factor in the shooting. So why waste my time doing it and asking me to read it?

Again, thanks.

I’m betting it wouldn’t be all that hard to SBR the rifle. That would be sweet.

i will quite often shoot things without them being on a rest. i 100% get what you are saying and there are definitely folks who feel as you. but, realize thare are also folks who want a more realistic represenation. maybe they don’t have a rest, maybe they will never use a rest… so seeing something like that, even though you are right about added variables… offers more value to them while at the same time less for folks like yourself. i guess this was a long way to saying, you can’t make everyone happy. but i try to switch things up, so at least at some point there is something for everyone.
as for the sbr, would be better off just buying the pistol version for that. i already ahve sbrs, so the appeal here was to get the 16" so that i had an extreme example for testing 8mm ammo in the future. there are also certain competitions where i cannot run anything shorter than 16" in the carbine division… so this one gives me an option there too.

I agree with @BrianK it was nice to see the guns inherent accuracy… if the barrel is bad or what have ya then how is a person to know if it aint on a rest . They may be thinking man I just stink at shooting .

i get what you two are saying, but keep in mind, there is way more to what a lot of content creators, like myself, do other than just get out on the range and film what happens. to an extent we already know what is going to happen to an extent. this particular rifle had been shot multiple times in other videos and i was used to it, so that certianly helped… just as an example. now i do some staight outta the box vidoes but even thing at least a few rounds are sent down range. but even i that case, should there be major issues, then that video would probably not get released. i would figure out what the deal was, bring in the company if need be, then re film a video adding the history, experience and context of what went down. there are reasons to not drop a video where somethign was acting goofy, especially major issues, until you know what was up. it isn’t really fair to a company to not give them a chance to solve it, or maybe it is something i am doing. then, you gotta remember that online each video is sorta on an island. you can drop a video today on how something screwed up, then drop one next week on how it was MY fault but much like a retraction in a newspaper, the box is open and you ain’t getting the bad press back in. i don’t want that on me. anyway, gotta unboxing style video dropping probably later today and you guys will get that one here first too, so be looking for it. i know most of this was TLDR but felt viewers often do not understand the behind the scenes with creators and since every creator seems to do things a little different, that can making understanding the whats, hows and whys even more difficult.
