With a message for today. OK, the message stops with 18:20 of the movie remaining. But it’s today 100+ years ago. It’s precisely why “they” want to disarm us.
Trust me on this, it’s a good movie. The name is Open Range. I know Amazon has it. That’s where I watched it.
I particularly liked before the mushy ending approx’ 20 minutes to go when the townspeople finally realized that they could do some of the killin’ themselves and are seen in the background. I don’t want to write any more and probably already wrote too much. Then there is a line that is so apropos for today. But I’m going to let others discover it for themselves.
I looked for it on Amazon, not there. Then I tried downloading it from youTube. Success!
I can’t tell you how disappointing it is to not watch all of a movie and find it gone the next day. I always download them before watching one on youtube.
The only problem I had with that scene was the number of shots coming from Kostners 6 shooter. Depending on how I count them I get 10 or 11. He shoots, then starts fanning the revolver. But the shooting isn’t the reason I suggested folks watch the movie. It’s just good, but there’s also a message in it for folks who decide that when the shit hits the fan they’ll find something else to do.
from wiki -costner said he only envisioned duval in the role and the film would not have been made if he didn’t come on board. He also respected him enough tot give him top billing.
