Native Texan living in Hoosier land

Brand new to guns thanks to the Socialist party. Jumping in head first, wanting to build an AR-15 and wanting to learn to reload. Obviously I have a lot of learning to do.

I do own a few guns and have carried for about 5 years, but I don’t get out and practice like I should and don’t know what I should know about guns.

Most likely I will only be asking questions, maybe dumb ones, so please be gentle. I wasn’t raised around guns or hunting and it’s not my lifestyle, but I do look forward to changing that.

So, I look forward to meeting everyone and hope I don’t pester people too much.

@RedAngel

Welcome to the Full30 Forum. A lot of knowledgeable people here.

In your learning, please take the time to learn the laws and how to safely handle a gun. These issues sometimes get forgotten by newbies, but are quite important.

Enjoy!

So welcome to Full30. We hope you like it here.

Thank you @JohnB Is there a term for us newbies? Like would I be considered a Capgun now, and later as I learn more I move up calibers? I hope to learn all that I can.

@RedAngel

I don’t know - I think newbie pretty well sums it up, but maybe others have better ideas.

I have been around guns for over 50 years and am still learning. So, never feel bad that you don’t know it all about guns.

Ha, ha. Bring it. I’m sure I’ve asked some doozies too. But no one cares. They just want to help. The important thing is to promote safety and enthusiasm for the weapons we love. And to try to save our rights. One gun owner at a time.

Welcome @RedAngel
Where abouts do you live in the land of hoosiers? I moved from Brownsburg about 10 years ago. I don’t know if it’s any good now but back then indygunowners.com was a great site for local knowledge and the buy, sell, trade section was pretty spectacular. If you find your way there you can recruit everybody to come post here as well … :sunglasses:
