I looked at one of those one time, think it had a 20 round mag. that was the most unbalanced POS i ever looked at. i can’t imagine how bad it would be with the mag loaded.

Still, the HK design has proven itself over and over again. Probably the newer Galil will have done so in another half century.

I think newer Galils are pretty insignificant really. Modern battle rifles such as the Scar or Bren really outclass it. Ive only shot the Scar though but CZ is top-notch in general.

The AR10 is proven too just look at the UK and Aussieland(or was it NZ?) They use LMT MWS rifles. I dont see the modern Galil getting major contracts or going anywhere on the civilian market so that means zero real reason for them to invest in major R&D. Even Israel has the Tavor now in .308… I think the old heavy pig battle rifles are going the way of the do-do
