New Year Preservation Plan

We’ve had a generous post delete policy that has lead to some confusing threads,

I know, I’ve contributed.

So its been up for discussion among the leaders and the delete ration will be lowered to two in a 24 hour time-frame to better preserve the threads.

Edit ability will remain the same.

That’s it, the consensus otherwise is things are working well, if anyone thinks anything else needs work please bring it up for discussion.

Thank you, Happy New Year!

deleting post makes no sense, if you’re doing it to keep the administration and mods from seeing it. I don’t know if the leaders here have the same priviledges as mods on other sites but if so they can see your deletion and even corrections. you also can’t hide from them. some put themselves on invisible mode and think the mods can’t see what they are doing, they would be wrong.

That was never the objective, it was to shield from distracting the little people such as yourself down the road…

I think delete is a good idea. I think with a button you should be able to delete ALL of your posts and ghost.

I agree.
Also, if we could keep record of all the photos we’ve posted so when we freak out and want to delete them, we know where they all are with the ability to delete them. And you can call me a chicken if ya want.

Couple of what should be obvious rebuttals

  1. Until the world burns and maybe not even after that there will be a record of posts, they are never truly deleted from here, which means the back-up server and sites that crawl here and copy the content.

  2. We’re building community, fellowship, comradery that may not be found elsewhere so easily, you should be here to gain from others and contribute to others, who wants to read a book with pages missing, do you want to delete pages from a shared book?

It simply got out of hand, I did not want to do this as I get it 100%, the ability to flick the fuck you switch when your feelers get hurt the same as standing in a group, doing an about face and walking off.

So, those of us that are introverted and antisocial simply need to read what we typed before hitting the reply button and know the deletes are limited, and perhaps work on being more social, it is healthy.

So a social person is a social-ist ,right? Are you suggesting we become socialists?
