They know it would never pass the sniff test with that included. They might be able bar local police from joining the VSP or other STATE agencies if they can prove said officer didn’t enforce their BS laws at a local agency, but to actually fire them from their current position? As I stated before, Chiefs of police/Sheriffs and local law enforcement don’t work for the governor nor the state legislature. Sheriffs can, and HAVE, told the feds to go self copulate. They may as well be passing legislation to fire TN state troopers for not enforcing VA law. It’s political posturing meant to scare rank and file police. The bill either isn’t going anywhere or if passed should be laughed out of court.

Not sure exactly how closely it would apply, but in Printz v US, the US Supreme Court ruled that Congress did not have the authority to order local police to enforce a federal gun control law. Same concept, but federal, not state.

Never have I seen so many fruit balls trying to get into politics, growing up there would always be one candidate that would have stupid ideas and usually was part of a made up party. But now it seems the weirdos are coming out of the woodwork to run for office.

Can America not find one candidate with one shred of decency. This impeachment BS is a clown show. now i’m not a pretty sight to look at but damn, have you really looked at the democrats. all of them are unable to smile. Ones eyes bug out of his head like an alien, one seriously looks like a bulldog. and the women…sheesh, I won’t name them all. but does it say to be a demonrat you have to look like 50 miles of bad road. I honestly believe their face looks like they do cause they NEVER smile.

They’re wasting our tax dollars and getting richer from this impeachment crap. none of them there are innocent angels, they all have skeletons but insist on trying to unseat a president and the only reason is because they know he will win again. There is goin to have to be some fur fly to get this country back to where it needs to be.

My thing is if you know the candidates you have that are running are idiots and liars and don’t stand a chance, then get someone honest and trustworthy…ok, that’s right…there are none of them anymore. Trump would stab us gun owners in the back in a heartbeat if he thought it would make him look good, I don’t trust him either. BUT he is ton better than any of those democraps.

I mentioned the proposed Virginia legislation and the January 20th rally to protest against it, to a few guys at work, last Friday. This morning, one of them started telling me about a conversation he had over the weekend, with someone that gave him more details about the proposed legislation.

Start a conversation with someone that you know has an interest in guns. See where it goes.

I got an email today informing me that one VA county voted to start a militia (no way to verify). That’s out of whack to my understanding. The militia is of and by the people and not attached to any go’vermin entity. Maybe they are looking for county tax funds for gear. Too, that’s not how it’s supposed to work. One supplies ones own gear and the members, while by law (check your state law) being ALL of the people in a certain group (male, 21, yada yada), are anonymous. Political affiliation is meaningless and to refuse to answer the call if the militia is called up is to be guilty and the militia can impose ANY penalty since the people who answered the call put their lives on the line. That’s the law in pretty much all the states that go back to English Common Law. It might be different in Louisiana since their law is derived from Napoleonic law. (But I’m no lawyer)

Anyway, if true it’s one step closer.

I’d like the leftists to explain to me how an unconstitutional law has any weight of law? It’s null and void from the very start and no one needs to obey it. I think they’re insane.

BrianK, your right but, remember that the Sheriff can call up the militia as a posse for the same effect. The Sheriff has more authority than any State or Federal agency or court.

A sheriff is a Constitutionally elected official. As a matter of fact he is the ONLY Constitutionally elected peace officer! He is NOT open to censure by the Governor. The Militia by its very definition is all able bodied citizens between 18 and 60 able to bear arms, and so equipped. This is ONE OF THE BIG PROBLEMS with the gun grabbers. This attack on our rights goes far beyond having a hunting rifle to go squirrel hunting with, it goes to the very heart and concept of self defense against tyrannical government.
This piece from the Declaration of Independence expresses this point blank.
