the metal lathe. Thee only machine that can reproduce itself.

When and if i can ever find a cheap old atlas or craftsman i will not look forward to rebuilding it with all the hand scraping that will most likely be needed.

Not true by any metric. I wish that people would stop saying this. I had this as a question on an official Coast Guard exam and I didn’t want to answer it.

Nice video! I’ve rebuilt a few lathes before, but never done a scraping. I have precision ground them on a huge surface grinder, though.
