Just curious: what’s it cost to fill that thing up?
Gas is relatively cheap now the whole reason we flew here was to get fuel. it was $2.85 a gallon for 100LL or 100 Octane Low Lead fuel. Standard aviation fuel. Other places was up to a dollar or more. So to answer the question it holds 60 gallons at 2.85 so $171.00. Fuel economy is variable but the theoretical range is around 850 at 165mph.
Cool! That’s really not that bad at all for both the fuel and distance you can cover.
I’d probably need 80 gallons of diesel fuel at about the same price to cover that same distance -at a much slower speed and longer amount of time, of course.
