I met him once at a Christmas concert where I chaperoned the kids of my Wife’s elementary school chorus who did back-up for a few songs and were his stage “family” for a few songs. I was VERY impressed with how he engaged the kids, thanked them before AND after the concert, talked with me and my Wife, and seemed to be a truly nice guy to be around.

I just watched the Gambler part 2 a few days ago. For many actors that was their last film. My Mother forced me to go see him in concert, the 80s.
