S, 1779 attempt to repeal protections of gun owners and manufacturers

S. 2469 (114th) which enacted 15 USC Code 7901 was put in place to protect Gun Owners and Manufacturers from frivolous lawsuits against them for misuse of their products and items. Repealing this would be an affront to the meaning of Justice in this country.
This is a bold attempt to repeal the second amendment and makes no sense whatsoever. I have seen no attempt to hold responsible auto manufacturers or other manufacturers of anything responsible for misuse of their items. Oppose this nonsense and any legislation of its type as well.

If you cause a fatal collision with your car due to your own negligence do you get to sue the automaker? If you decide to drink and drive then kill someone do we sue the alcohol maker? If you accidentally ingest some peanut oil while being highly allergic to peanuts do we sue mother earth for making the peanuts?

The answer to these and everything else is, fuck no. Something like this cannot happen, every single company who makes a product relating to a firearm not just firearm mfgs would be at risk. Imagine if Magpul or say Holosun were sued because someone had those components affixed to a firearm when the criminal committed a crime? It just doesn’t seem to end with these idiots…
