Yes it is strange …I think the colts just had that “look” if you will.

I always liked the Colts single action better and the S&W doubles, I had one of the old 22 Colts, I can’t remember what they called it, but I foolishly sold it. The Smiths double action always felt better in the hand to me for some reason, and the trigger was better.
Ironically all I have now is a Colt clone and the only Smiths left are a 380 and an old shotgun.
