What I have loaded over last month or so between work, feeling like chit and keeping the Van run out of the neighborhood…
38, 357, 45 Colt and 454…
wondered how long it would take…
That’s an awful lot of red lipstick, you go through that much in a year?
You should take that act on the road…
Even more .38’s or 9’s
One of my fav containers
The big ones from COSTCO are all over this place.
Went to the range and it was good and bad…the Uberti 357 worked 100% with a 125 SWC light load, no problems ejecting or cycling, the Cimarron 45 Colt not so much…I was shooting a Cowboy style load, a 225 Lead round nose with a light load of Universal according to Hodgdon would be about 850fps. I could not eject the spent brass from cylinder, I took cylinder out and it took a little force to pop them out, I took some fresh rounds and they fell into the cylinder easily which should mean they would come out with the ejector rod on pistol…I am going to wire brush out cylinder real good to see if that will help, won’t be able to shoot again till next week. I also shot some 325 Hard Cast Flat points with the Taurus 454…WOW, with a healthy dose of Lil’ Gun it has some stout bark and recoil, no doubt it would take down about anything. If range is empty next trip I am going to try and recover the bullets so I can melt and use them again.
Got my ammo display board done, mostly empty brass since it is cheaper than dummy rounds, I am going to slowly buy a lot of dummy rounds for it, I found a couple good websites that carry a lot of single buy dummy ammo.
That’s an attractive box!
Thanks, just simple pine with an rustic gray stain, I added the metal corners and T’s to make it look older…
I’ll bet you tell all the shiksa’s that!
