Some folks claim Medicare and Social Security are prime examples of socialism. If that’s the case, then I guess millions of older gun owners receiving both forms of benefits are “Socialist Gun Owners.” I bet that might rile them up!

I wonder what the Socialist Gun Owners Club stands for? Advocate “gun stamps” (instead of food stamps) for ammo and the Section 8 equivalent of having the government pay for a free gun in order to exercise our 2nd Amendment rights? It can be paid for by reducing corporate subsidies and reforming corporate welfare. Power to the People! Or in this case, “Arm the people!”

Seriously though, we hear of a few socialist European countries, like Switzerland for instance, who allow their citizens to own guns. I think “socialism” may have different meanings to different folks here in America. I know of the Liberal Gun Club, which the CMP recognizes for membership purposes as part of its requirement to order a Garand, but I’m guessing some (or maybe most?) liberals may not consider themselves socialists in the European sense of the term. But I’m not a socialist or a liberal, so I don’t know.

Well, that’s a bit to digest.

I do completely agree that the 2A is a right for everyone regardless of political viewpoint. What concerns me is why is “Socialism” part of their message. Most, or all, gun groups that I’m aware of may well have mostly conservative memberships but they advocate 2A specifically. There is not a CRA (Capitalist Rifle Association) that I’m aware of.

So what is their actual purpose? Clearly not the “working class” as they call it. We’re all working class here and even those who have different political views are welcome to buy guns and join any pro 2A group. I don’t recall checking a Capitalist check box.

So I have to assume they just want to infiltrate the 2A movement to destroy it from within. Kind of a Trojan Horse approach.

Before you guys dismiss the commie gun owners, you need to study the enemy. These people see firearms in Maoist terms. Guns for them, not for you, so they can plow you into the ground.

Has there ever been a socialist country that didn’t include tyranny and loss of freedom?
Can’t imagine the intellectual gyrations it takes to equate socialism, and its true goal of communism, with anything remotely resembling freedom.
