Thanks! Those IDPA red dot sites rules must be relatively new, or people were lying to me. In their defense I was told that they were probably going to change to allow red dots.

Steel Challenge is really good training for transitions. Plus it’s fun. OK, it’s shooting so it’s fun. It’s also a great way to get others involved. It can use .22 to keep expenses down and with .22 the gear is minimal. That’s just one of the reasons I like it. No belt gear required. Heck, that’s one big reason I like PCC in USPSA too. I don’t have anything pulling my pants down.

Doesn’t it seem like the differences between USPSA and IDPA are getting smaller and smaller?
The best matches I’ve attended have been with “local” rules.
