Start paying with cash for guns and ammo

Banks have been talking about it for awhile as being a wet dream of theirs. It’s finally arrived.

I don’t know enough about credit cards, is there any way around it? Or MUST gun shops use the code?

Yes they must use the code. My questions are is it constitutional, and is it all card sales including debit and gift cards? Sure seems like a set up for abuse, in other words what possible justification is there except to do that which is illegal? Obviously cash is different.

Possible work around. Credit card sales for silver in your money changing business next door. Then do your gun shop sales in silver.

If you all think that this is about firearm and gun related purchases, you’re missing the point. Dig a little deeper and you will see that this effects far more than the Second Amendment…

It is never about just one thing. Ever.

They didn’t hire 87,000 new IRS agents and arm them to make sure we pay taxes either.

When I worked in a gun shop and when I was a part owner of a gun shop there were credit card processing companies that would not process credit cards from gun shops.

Never put a gun on a credit card always payed cash . Now ammo I have used a debit card but from what I understand it comes out of my checking unless I have them run it as credit .

That is how we roll. Hence my question about debit and gift cards.

It is not how your card is charged that will change. It is the merchant number of the business that will denote the charge to a firearm related business as opposed to a sporting goods store, which is what they are classified as currently.

That’s the “gun show loophole” that causes all the problems in life.

This is why they want to do away with cash and go to all electronic .

Well it’s really never about one thing…

With these codes, apparently they can’t tell what items were purchased, just what type of shop it happened in. So it would also affect gun parts, knives, tools, armor, clothes, etc.

It’s really about a Chinese-style social credit system.

It is that and so much more.

Cash works for me.

Welcome to social credit scoring. Don’t worry though, this phase probably won’t last long at the rate they’re going.

I agree. The only times I’ve ever used a CC is for an out of state order, and maybe a check or MO would work for that if they can wait for snail mail.

Just never was concerned about it. Why would you be? Of course that was before the actualization of the commie totalitarian police state bull shit.
