It’s about time you quit teasing and start putting out.

Nice rifle @srdiver. What caliber?

8mm (7,92x57) Mauser

my only complaint right now is it seems to have the wrong cocking piece so the safety can’t be engaged.

something new added - another unicorn gun
the JW25A

.22 calibre - five round magazine

the Norinco is not quite the same as it’s bigger cousin the Kar98 - M98

oh and did I mention - unfired with the shipping oil still on every thing.

Always wanted a CAR-15 and lo and behold

but what makes this such a unicorn

I take you back to an earlier post about the Chinese cloning scopes

well

let me introduce the Norinco CQ-A 10.5

I thought those were banned in your country? Does it not operate like an AR15?

let’s see
pull the charging handle to rear allowing the bolt to move forward and load a round into the chamber.
Point and aim
Move the safety level to fire.
Pull the trigger
Bang
Bolt moves to the rear
casing is ejected
bolt moves back into battery loading a new round
pull the trigger
Bang
Bolt moves to the rear
casing is ejected
bolt moves back into battery loading a new round
pull the trigger
Bang
Bolt moves to the rear
casing is ejected
bolt moves back into battery loading a new round
Move safety lever to safe
pretty sure that is how a AR15 works too…

option A,B&C, lengthen the barrel , permanently attach the flash hider or forgo the stock

The long flash hider makes them legal, but you can’t put a shorter one on here. Mine is an Olympic arms

Since its an AR only the lower is a serialized, cant you buy the uppers from the U.S. then?

Right, I’d go with a pistol brace.

yes and because we do not have firearms broken into rifle, pistol and the sub categories we do not need to worry about it being a braced pistol or SBR (same thing up here)
I was going to buy the PSA 10.5 and mate it to a Colt lower (Demarco/Colt Canada) but the Norinco is complete and was 1/2 the price. Even buying a PSA upper / lower the Norico is still cheaper. Example I am buying the wife the 14" version for C$600 ($500US) and it will be delivered a week after purchase, buying from the States adds 1 to 2 months to the equation.
