YouTube shouldnât just demonetize the videos as there are all kinds of ads for guns and accessories shown to me. One can only assume they would be absolutely happy advertising on gun videos. Google if it hasnât already (Iâm sure they already have it internally for data analysis) set up flags for the various types of content and if advertisers donât want their ads shown or even only shown on certain content the advertisers can check and uncheck boxes.
Still it peeves me that these companies are complaining at all. Most of them have no problem paying for product placement in shoot-em-up movies and TV shows that glamourize gun violence. Donât get me wrong I love those types of movies. Itâs just the hypocrisy of these advertisers that drives me nuts.
This also wouldnât be so bad if YouTube hadnât changed the rules for you placing ads for your sponsors in your videos a while back. Those rules hurt a lot of content creators too.
We all would love to become YouTube millionaires like Pewdiepie but some people were making enough money to quit their day jobs or at least pay for the stuff they had to buy to put out quality videos. The games the advertisers and YouTube themselves are playing, has literally yanked the rug out from under many content creators, even some big non-gun related ones.
What Iâd really love to see is the YouTube community petition and boycott the products of these companies. In the end I believe most will eventually come back (especially if YouTube implements some sort of opt in/out system for videos). YouTube already gives advertisers the best bang for the buck as there are more people viewing at least part of an ad and for a much better price than putting an ad on TV.

Duck mating sessions are serious business â in fact, they are often extremely aggressive. The uniquely shaped penises and vaginas associated with male and female ducks, respectively, contributing to their one-of-a-kind mating techniques.
Male Sex Organs
As opposed to 97 percent of other bird species, male ducks â or drakes, as they are sometimes called â have a penis that is normally housed inside-out, within a sac in its body. During sex, the penis is ejected from this sac, and reaches a full length of approximately 20 centimeters. Drake penises are unique in that they feature a corkscrew design and have ridges and backward pointing spines. Certain aquatic birds, such as drakes, may have a penis to prevent sperm from being washed away in the water.
Female Sex Organs
The sex organs of female ducks are also highly specialized and unique. According to the National Geographic article âBallistic penises and corkscrew vaginas â the sexual battles of ducks,â female ducks have a long and twisted vagina that features a number of spirals and dead-end pockets. Research in 2009 by Patricia Brennen of Yale University suggests that these elaborate vaginas may serve as a sort of chastity belt, thus limiting the effectiveness of penetration by their male suitors.
