The thing that stands out to me about Texas is that they are the rudest drivers I have ever seen . If you arnt doing 20 mph over the speed limit they flip you off and pass in no passing zones .

Anyway, just thought I’d point out a few things that in my view make Texas too unique to lump it in with any particular region or identify it as being similar to any other state.

Every state has its unique history and cultural stuff, you sound like my woman though. I get the " Texas" lecture whenever I say this stuff. Its like a bible study almost lol

Each state though is unique , in Europe they have many small countries and here we have many small states but in every areacthe culture slightly shifts.

Oregon , northern Cali, Idaho , Washington had its own culture…or did . But we bitch when people compare us. Dixie is the only one who is ok with that stuff mostly , outside of Florida…nobody wants to be grouped in with Florida

But the vast majority of TX prisons have had no air conditioning since their inception and continue with no AC to this day. Texas summers, especially with the high humidity east of I-35, can be sweltering as well.

I think I’d request the death penalty if that’s the case.

My mom, out of the blue, happened across her mothers little envelope of german sausage recipes. Many bear a close resemblance to boudin and andouillie. Without the casings, the wife helped her make patties. The wife went NUTS over it. Whoo buddy.

Oh yeah, I hear ya and definitely agree about us Texas drivers - lol. The first week I moved to Texas I was parking at a parking garage in Dallas. Not being familiar with it I was cautiously driving looking for a spot. I noticed a car tailgating me, too. As soon as I parked, the tailgater lowered the window and started yelling at me for going slow, and then flipped me off and sped away. I kid you not it was an older lady who looked to be in her mid 60’s - lol! All I could think was “dang, welcome to Texas and its big-city drivers.”

I found California drivers to be much worse than Texans. Portland people are cucks too.
