Pretty much. I notice when at the range, people look at the box that has like four rifles in it. They ask about the model 89, but not so much about the ARs

Not really. Have you seen the retro AR with wood furniture or a clone correct SPR? In general most ARs look alike but there are some that are real eye catchers.

I agree, some really stick out. My .50 bmg will stop people in their tracks, and leave them speechless when I say it’s an AR15. I’m not a fan of wood on an AR, it just doesn’t work for me. One thing I really like is theme builds. Granted, those are safe queens and only see range time hear and there. But many of them are really sexy. I have a soft spot for the old west look, break action shotguns, old revolvers, and lever action rifles.
