Hoping having them in the yard quashes the wife’s wanting to buy one
cause Ma’ma knows how to get what Ma’ma wants
She was on the kick a couple weeks back I was able to sway her off it for the time being
I told her that the pampered Yorkie she has would drop dead from jealousy
A fox will eat that pampered Yorkie if given a chance.
We were discussing that today trying to guess what made these
These were along the road for a good mile today on our walk and found there way into our yard
We’ve seen a Coyote in the daytime out here before and never see any domestic dogs
Looks like domestic dog tracks…coyote is usually narrower.
How large are they?
They are large, 2" across I’d estimate
My wife would say 5", I taught her how to measure
If there are coyote in the area, the fox will soon be dead.
We have both,
would the Coyote be why the fox den in fields?
My neighbor reported a fox den a mile away in a similar field some years back
If 2” across I’d say a large dog…if 5” across then you either have dogzilla or a wolf. I have no idea what part of the country you’re taking the pics in though, and unless it’s up north, wolf is highly unlikely.
Although, we did recently catch one all the way down here in AZ just north of the Grand Canyon. They are spreading fast due to the lack of control after reintroduction
Yep, I use those terms while teaching her how to measure as well
Here in PA, we have the larger wolf/ coyote hybrid. They will hunt down & kill fox .
use an actual ruler than your body part’s
So we found our camera a couple weeks back, got it dusted off and ready for when we could test to see if it would zoom nicely
Wife says the Fox is out, ok time to roll, get up, grab the camera and…
the batteries fall out, dooh
put them in turn it on and it wants me to set the date/time etc dooh
get past that, and get a memory full error, dooh
find an SD card and now I can’t steady the damn thing , dooh
anyhow got a few and notice the stomach
Whooah, a second chance and round two tells the story
…We have what we believe to be a fox den on our property, but, tracks around it have been varied, often small and narrow, sometimes large/wide, no fox scent, a “barn yard” smell thoughSo for Christmas we got a trail cam, so far only this photo and it sure don’t look like a fox or a coyote ,(we do have both in the area)What do you think?feel free to post your trail cam photos
Where’s the one you recorded of your nieghbors wife standing by an open window while getting dressed?
Guess you gotta hide the real stuff
So far yes, he was out for 20 minutes by himself before mom came out, she was content until an owl hoo’d, then she scooped him up quick!
So far I believe I’ve identified two kits, they wander out to check out the world
tonight there were some deer near one, a couple deer came right up to him, he was following them off so we beamed a light to chase off the deer before he went to far
best picture, camera, dark, window, all worked against good photos
