Weatherby Vanguard First Lite

I have one of the new Weatherby Vanguard First Lite rifles on order in 6.5x300 and was curious if anyone owned a 6.5x300 ? I got tired of the weight and expense of owning and shooting a 338 Lapua and decided the Weatherby would do what I wanted at a lot less cost, It will only get shot 25-50 times a year so I am not concerned with the over bore and lifespan of barrel…the trajectory out to 1200 is very impressive with Berger VLD’s…

You are still waiting on that rifle? Did they give you an ETA? I really would love to see a picture or two of that when you get it in.

I also finished and test fired my AR15 that I put the Law Tactical folding stock adapter on along with the DOLOS quick release barrel setup…I am going to do a paint job on it now and need a red dot for it…

Thank you for keeping us in the loop Brother!
She is a beautiful rifle!

NP…gonna start the break in this weekend…

Shot 10 rounds today…with the low line factory 140 SP’s it shot MOA, I will shoot the other 10 next weekend before I shoot any of the high end ammo with the 140 Berger VLD’s…recoil was more than I expected with the brake…probably like a 30.06 in a standard weight rifle, after 10 rounds I could feel it in my shoulder…it would be pretty sharp without the brake, another reason why I love muzzle brakes on everything…
