Westpoint 948E restoration

My grandfather had bought this shotgun off of someone years ago for $25 in pieces and gave it to me because he didn’t know how to reassemble it. I bought some new springs, reblued it, and refinished the stocks. I’m happy with how it turned out other than the wood filler not matching. Any ideas on how to make it blend? Maybe use a darker finish?

The wood filler doesn’t have grain so it is going to show no matter how dark you go. Darker will make it stand out less. https://www.gunpartscorp.com/ might have a forend for that. They have a lot of old gun parts.
