OK, I’m sure a few of you know I’m dealing with some health issues. One of them is a great deal of pain in my left ankle. Been dealing with this over the past year. So let me bring you up to speed.
So I had surgery on it this year, about 6-7 months ago.
Many pictures were taken. The bone should be nice and smooth and white. Clearly that’s not the case. The doctor took one picture to show what it should look like.
Last week I had a CT scan done and talked to my surgeon yesterday. The bones are fractured all over, he said the bones look like the grand canyon. I got a nerve block while I was there to verify that is where the pain is coming from. I was pain-free on that ankle, and it was amazing.
I’m scheduled for a total ankle replacement on Oct. 1st. It will look a bit like this. To be pain-free, even if it’s just one joint is something I’m really looking forward to.
That is a ankle joint replacement. I’m getting the newest and best on the market at this time that’s FDA approved. I asked if I could have my joint back in a jar. Sadly, no. But he’s going to try and get some pictures of the damage.
Sorry to hear.
And I feel your pain.
My ankles look like yours and hurt, too.
But rather than opt for surgery, I bought high top walking shoes instead.
Less risk and much cheaper.
Works pretty good.
Doctors go for the knife too fast to suit me.
