I see people commemorating or paying their respects to the memory of vets from other wars but not the one where we lost the most Americans. Didnt they sacrafice everything in the service of their country? I dont see any civil war commemoration in schools or on the news etc etc.
Any ideas on why?
That could lead to learning, thinking, independent free thought, truth and discovery.
You donât want any of that going around now do you?
Best just to teach hate.
To which civil war are you referring?
Weâve had a couple of them.
1775 and 1861 or there abouts.
I donât look at the 1775 Revolutionary War as the or a civil war. As you know the Civil War was 1860-1865. As to the question I think and study the Civil War quite often. Very complex war with many facets.
The last one. If someone toppled Chris Kyles or a ww2 vets monument there would be hell to pay but doig that to a civil war monument appears to be ok. Kind of âweirdâ
The Revolutionary War was a true civil war.
Plenty of Americans on both sides.
Loyalists who had plenty to lose if the Revolution was successful, and The Americans who would be better off without the British land grant system and English taxation.
Why dont Americans give any thought to our first civil war?
Time. Unfortunately. WWII will have the same thing happen in due time. Then Americans wonât care at all since every war afterwards in their mind was unjust. Sickening to think about.
The general history of the Civil War is taught in such a way that it is portrayed as the slave owners against the non slave owners, an ugly part of our past that people donât want to examine too closely.
Even then shouldnt the yankees get some recognition?
Itâs still ugly no matter how you look at it. Most âwar heroesâ are heroes because of national pride, not because of what they did. I mean the other side has heroes too but we donât call them that because they are fighting for the other team. In the Civil war, we were fighting our own people. Kinda hard to find any national pride in that, right.
Not saying I agree. Just offering an explanation. You could say that people are heroes if they risk everything to fight for their beliefs or way of life. I say that name is in the eye of the beholder. Ask the Al Queda folks if the people that carried out the 9-11 attacks are heroes or terrorists. The British during the Revolution thought the Americans were terrorists. All depends on which side youâre judging from.
if no one understands and how history can be changed by MSM
One of the leaders who the Queen is about to be introduced isnât from Russia (who was an ally but not invited) but Angela Merkel the Chancellor of Germany the country that wasnât a Ally at the time.

The Revolution was every bit a civil war as well. By definition it is fighting between citizens of the same country. The Torys/Loyalists and the Patriots were very much bitterly divided.
Why is Merkel even there? This is the one person by herself has destroyed her country and others around her by allowing millions of invaders into her country. How many men did it take to defeat the Naziâs and she let a silent invasion in all by herself.
Thatâs because Merkel is their Hitlery Clinton.
Because if people think about the first civil war (aka the War Between the States), their thoughts will naturally lead to the coming 2nd Civil War (CW2). Anyone who says that wonât happen are either lying or have their head buried deeply in the sand. Some people, however, have been warning about a coming âCW2â, who the meta-groups in that war will be, why, and some other interesting observations. If youâve served in the Navy SEALS, or if youâre a prepper, or a âThree Percenterâ, then the name Matt Bracken will be familiar to you.
His article on CW2 is here: http://westernrifleshooters.blogspot.com/2010/07/bracken-cw2-cube-mapping-meta-terrain.html

Iâve spent the better part of the last 25 years thinking about the same things he has written about, and my conclusions mostly line up with his. I offer his analysis for your reading because many commentators have already noted that America is fully into a âcivil cold warâ.
If they started examining it, they would start noticing details that contradict that portrayal. People are often reluctant to look into things that will upset their neatly compartmentalized notions.
