I pretty much make it known I like Wild Turkey (101) but now I can say wild turkeys also like me

This was earlier this week, four adults and 11 chicks came strolling through the yard

We have a decent turkey population down here in Southern Michigan as well. The population seems smaller in recent years, though. We had turkeys everywhere 5-6 years ago, but not as many these days. I have seen more coyotes lately. :thinking:

We have a lot of them where i hunt, even though we still have a lot of yotes. yotes will put a hurtin on the turkey population. but we put a hurtin on the yotes every year.

Your post reminds me of that PBS special where a scientist from Florida raised a flock of wild baby turkeys as their “mother” from the day they hatched:

Awesome episode if you get a chance to watch it.
