Winter Beard or No winter beard ? 🤔

So I usually have a decently hefty beard starting in Sept. And running through February. Always trim it way back after groundhog day. Why ? Well, to me it signifys the entrance of spring .
Of course my beard comes in nearly all grey nowadays used to be reddish brown . I guess it makes me feel younger when I trim it back
What say you ??.

I hate shaving so I let mine grow 4 years ago but keep it trimmed . I wish it was still red but now it is almost all white not gray but snow white.

I hear that, I also hate primping/grooming, and hate being scruffy too, soooo :man_shrugging:

What’s with red hairs prematurely turning grey? My head hair is still brown but beard is grey now since face hair was primarily red.

Intersting question ?
Possibly not as much melon or whatever that is that causes the black or brown color . Maybe red or reddish is one step away from grey to begin with ? Now Robert you the research GURU got anything on this ?

Maybe shaving causes it  ?

Yep. Let it grow in starting around September for mid-October bow season and by March I am ready to shave it off. I keep the mustache because otherwise I look like a thumb.
