Here’s how the charter/choice rip off works; they pump up their head count at beginning of fall and spring semesters, then in October/Friday the State sends these “private” schools a nice monster check for the coming semester. THAT is when the charter/choice thieves leave the state, all the kids w/o a school.

I was a little disappointed in the deals on gun parts. I ordered a couple AR barrels that were priced pretty low, and some other parts that I had been holding off on ordering (waiting for the Black Friday deals), but ended up not finding much of a discount on them. Could be that I just wasn’t looking for the stuff that did get a big discount.
I got a discount on a plate carrier (for some reason, that purchase triggered my bank’s system to contact me to confirm that I made the charge), but it wasn’t really a big discount. Ordered a small bag. Bought a couple Jeep parts.
The biggest discount I came across, was on a Smittybilt Roof Top Tent. Had to think about that one for a bit, but I haven’t decided whether or not I really want a Roof Top Tent, and I haven’t gotten around to building a roof rack, so I passed on that.

How did a thread about black Friday turn into a debate about charter schools . But just so you know my wife is a fifth grade teacher at a small public school , nonunion and low income students. But she came home today with news that their school was one of two schools recognized for high test scores. But she works before and after school every day and most weekends to prepare for the class and spends several hundred dollars a year on books for the reading program in her class and writes grants for stuff the school can’t buy for the students.
Funny how that happens eh? Good for them and their hard work.
